Ruth Kohtz is a writer/performer with a BA in Theatre Arts from Hamline University.  Hailing from Nebraska, she also studied at the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics in Boulder CO.  She is currently coaching the Quest for the Voice youth poetry team to prepare for the Brave New Voices Conference in Los Angeles this summer.  Ruth is proud to be a member of the Punch Out Poetry Slam Team that will be the first all-women slam venue to send a team to the National Poetry Slam in St. Paul, Minnesota this summer.
