FROM THE LOVE SONG OF THE SPLIT FACED MAN by MC Hyland MC Hyland’s most recent chapbooks are Every Night in Magic City (H_NGM_N, 2010) and Residential As In (Blue Hour Press, 2009). Her first collection of poems, Neveragainland, will be published by Lowbrow Press this fall. She lives in Minneapolis, where she works at the Minnesota Center for Book Arts and runs DoubleCross Press and the Pocket Lab reading series.
GENESIS by Jen McClung Jen McClung is a Pushcart-nominated poet, a finalist in the Creative Nonfiction/W.W. Norton Program-Off, and an avid fiction writer as well. Her work appears in journals like The Ampersand and Hayden’s Ferry Review, and in anthologies like TalkingImageConnection’s Floating Worlds and Skinny Rabbit Press’ If Solitude Inspires. In addition to her writing, Jen is a singer/songwriter with two albums and a long list of live performances, and several of her paintings can be found at jenmcclung.blogspot.com.
THE SPEED OF EVAPORATION by Jeffrey Skemp Jeffrey Skemp is a poet and photographer who was raised on a farm in Central Wisconsin and presently resides in South Minneapolis. He is honored to be the 2010 recipient of the Intermedia Arts VERVE Grant for Spoken Word Poets as well as the recipient of the 2010 Jerome Travel and Study Grant for Literature. FORGE by Valerie Deus Valerie Deus, originally from New York, now lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She holds an MA in Creative Writing from LIU's Brooklyn Campus. She has read at St. Mark's Poetry Project Annual New Year's Day reading and at Patrick's Cabaret. She currently teaches English and Literature at Minneapolis Community and Technical College.
FLIGHT by Sharon Venezio Sharon Venezio received an MA in creative writing from San Francisco State University, and is currently working on a manuscript from her home in Los Angeles. She is the recipient of the Mark Linenthal Award for Poetry.
